In online settings, these moments rarely happen because students tend to stay muted, and the natural flow of dialogue is lost. I have experienced this personally during the pandemic — my online seminars felt sterile compared to our previous in-person sessions.

Second, I find it much harder to stay focused during online classes. At home, there are constant distractions — phones, pets, family members, and the temptation to multitask. In a classroom, the environment itself signals that it is time to learn. I noticed my own productivity dropped significantly during remote learning, and many of my peers reported the same.
